What Dance Can Do x We Came From

On March 15, 2023, the 15 students of the Rep+ class of the Romain Rolland middle school in Clichy-sous-bois received at home, Nina and Farooq from the association We Came From. This meeting under the initiative of the Francis Kurkdjian Endowment Fund allowed the co-founders of We Came From to share their knowledge on embroidery.

Nina and Farooq presented their project in which each child drew a picture of a souvenir from his or her native country, which was then digitized and reproduced in embroidery on sweatshirts. These sweatshirts will be worn by the students during the end-of-year show in June. This transdisciplinary approach allows them to explore different art forms and to understand the complementarity of artistic universes.
