Focus on the new projects supported by the Francis Kurkdjian Endowment Fund

November 18, 2022

In this new season, dance is very present and takes on different tones thanks to the work of the following choreographers: Eric Minh Cuong Castaing, Smaïl Kanouté, Bintou Dembélé, Rodolphe Fouillot and Emmanuelle Huybrechts.

Working in their own way on projects that we invite you to discover very soon on our website, they bring together audiences that are generally not very visible on stage (physically disabled children, young people in precarious situations or isolated from culture and prisoners) alongside professional dancers.

Music will also have its place with the orchestra-workshop Ostinato and its project "In music for more humanity".

This new season 2022/2023 will place a strong emphasis on educational and social projects through contemporary creation in partnership with institutions such as the Théâtre du Châtelet or the Théâtre national de la danse de Chaillot in order to unearth talent; not forgetting support for We Came From's advocacy for refugees and migrants.

The Collectif MxM continues to surprise us with its theatrical experiments and interpretations of Russian classic plays. For their next play, the collective has chosen to stage Chekhov's Platonov, to be performed in 2024.

The Francis Kurkdjian Endowment Fund is therefore pleased to contribute to the work of these ambitious projects for the cause of migration and the social integration of isolated and vulnerable people. Stay tuned on our website www.fondsfranciskurkdjian.org
